In Syria, children often lack the most basic prerequisites for learning: safe classrooms, books and learning materials.

In Syria, thousands of children are growing up in a world characterised by conflict and insecurity. Their school buildings are destroyed, their classrooms often no more than simple tents - but their hope for a better future lives on.
Teachers struggle every day to offer them a perspective, but resources are scarce.
Sad facts:
- Many schools in Syria have been destroyed or are not functional. (As of 03/2025: 1,762 schools)
- Teachers often teach without sufficient materials or infrastructure.

Donation receipt - Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, your donation is tax-deductible. Ihssan is recognised as a non-profit and charitable organisation and can therefore issue donation receipts. Up to an amount of €300, the tax office only requires a simplified donation receipt in conjunction with your bank statement as proof of the donation.
We offer you our simplified proof of funding as PDF document to. If you would still like to receive a donation receipt, this is of course no problem. We will be happy to issue you with a confirmation. Simply send us an e-mail to info@ahsin.de

Our educational aid
Deine Spende unterstützt an erster Stelle das Nothilfe-Schulangebot und die Waisenschule der Hilfsorganisation EDC und ermöglicht so Kindern und Jugendlichen, die für längere Zeiten keine Schule besuchen konnten, einen schnellen Wiedereinstieg ins Bildungssystem. Das Programm bietet nicht nur ein effizientes Lernprogramm, sondern unterstützt die Schüler auch psychologisch, um ihnen den Übergang zurück in eine reguläre Schule oder eine berufliche Zukunft zu erleichtern.
In the short term, your donation will help to maintain the 4 schools of the aid organisation EDC including teacher salaries, room costs and teaching materials. Find out more about the EDC schools.
In the medium term, it contributes to the general Learning conditions for pupils in Syria, as there are plans to support more schools, especially in the area of Equipment and teaching materials.
In the long term, we aim to develop a comprehensive project concept in cooperation with other organisations and official bodies that makes schools in Syria more child- and environmentally friendly and aims at an energy-efficient and sustainable refurbishment of schools. Your donation will also benefit this aspect.
